 In August 2005, one ordinary man set out on an excavation of his love life that he hoped would reveal "where along the line he screwed up." Declaring himself "an average guy in his mid-30's who has consistently made the most blatantly stupid mistakes in every single relationship," this brave soul begins with his first girlfriend ("She was hot and I had hair") and continues through the crushes, missed communications, make-out sessions, "Joliet Jakes," heart-thumping love, messy fights, betrayal, heartbreak, and jerky breakups that followed. This could be an exercise in prolonged navel-gazing. Instead, the Ex-GF Project emerges as one of the most engaging, candid, and funny blogs we've read in awhile.
