Letters to Marc Jacobs
Dear  Marc Jacobs,
We're writing on behalf of E. For one year now, she has drafted letter after letter to you, compiling an online record of her flailing "efforts to create a perfect life" as stylish and inspiring as yours. Of course we know that your days may not be filled with hankerings for cinnamon buns, dreams of laughing wittily on Letterman, and notions of being a rich woman (or a traveling literary lady or a Sicilian free spirit) the way E's are. But her little missives must spark some recognition for you: the daily grind of life at the office, for instance (granted, hers is in Stockholm, but it does involve mannequins!). Or the trickiness of juggling a romance, a career, and a family—or just a family. So please, Marc, write E. back. We promise, she's really not that "stalkerrific." It would make her so happy. And if you don't, she might start writing Mariah instead. Love,
