Main Title Heaven Great opening title sequences never die. Instead, they lurk in late night reruns, DVD reissues, and studio vaults. Now, thanks to the miracle of the Web, they're also lining up at the pearly gates of Main Title Heaven. Carefully guarded by Lee Goldberg, co-author of "Successful Television Writing" and unapologetic zealot of the small screen, this site exists for no other reason than to collect, adore, and, in many cases, forgive "great and not so great main title sequences" from the history of American television. From "WKRP in Cincinnati" to "X-Files," from "T.J. Hooker" to "CSI," from "Man From U.N.C.L.E." to "Walker, Texas Ranger," the collection is jumbled-up, non-chronological, largely devoid of annotations, and fully capable of bestowing enormous joy on anyone who has ever loved a TV series. When they're good, they're so very, very good; when they're bad, they're still wonderful. (in Classic TV) |
