Harvard Magazine Personals In these days of extensive profiles on e-dating sites, the classifieds-style personals section seems fated for extinction—except at Harvard Magazine. The periodical, dedicated to "keeping alumni of Harvard University connected to the university and to each other" continues to do just that. Forget Facebook. For us, it was love at first site with these Ivy League takes on the "single white female" blurb. Here's a few of our recent favorites... - "Ugly, obese widow exposed as a fraud."
- "Current passions: skiing black diamond slopes, hiking, via ferata climbing in Dolomites, learning photography, art gallery hopping, cooking gourmet recipes, Golden Retrievers, studying languages, primitive hut trips, collecting nature's edible foods (berries, mushrooms), service projects home or abroad, Yo-Yo Ma, New Zealand."
- "Effortlessly stunning PhD with keen intellect, damn good sense of humor, lots of range and depth. Slim, sophisticated, successful and unpretentious." Uh huh.
