The Politically Incorrect Alphabet Mark Jones' wife is an elementary-school teacher. And Mark, who is an artist, has invested time gazing at her teaching materials while waiting for her. One day, while cooling his heels, Mark fixated on the classic "a is for apple" alphabet series. Then, he began to draw his own ABCs, ones unlikely to ever grace a second-grade classroom. Mark's alphabet is definitely for grownups. Undeniably, all of it is true: "Axe" and "atom bomb" both begin with "A." But it's nevertheless designed to be impudent—deliciously, naughtily so. That's the fun of being politically incorrect, right? So skip on through, and enjoy the impish thought of an alphabet comprised entirely of topics and terms most adults prefer not to wade into with children. "C" is for "cannibal" and "coffin." "K" is for "Ku Klux Klan." And "s," shudder, is for "Spam." (in Humor) |
