Sunday Scribblings At the end of March, Laini and Meg asked: What would you attempt if you knew you would not fail? And with that, the two questioners opened the doors to Sunday Scribblings, a weekly writing salon for scribes of all stripes. In subsequent weeks, the two women requested musings on "real life," inquired after why people live where they live, and queried visitors about when they "were wee." Each Friday "or thereabouts," a question or statement goes up on the site. By the weekend's close, enthusiastic wordsmiths have reported back with responses on their own blogs (it's not hard to get one if you want to join in). Recent challenges garnered poems, musings, and rants from nearly 100 different writers. Sometimes Laini and Meg leave summaries, thank-you's, or words of encouragement ("be brave!"). But always they return on Friday with a new and provocative challenge. So join in. And, as they say, happy scribbling! (in Literature) |
