Match Game Wallpaper Factory Before irony and enormous sound stages, the television game show was ruled by double entendres, cigarette-puffing celebs, and low-budget sets. This site harks back to one of the crowning achievements in TV game show history: "The Match Game." Dis it if you must, but this show about filling in the blanks continues to captivate over 30 years later. Is it the campiness of Charles Nelson Reilly? Or the skinny mic and wide lapels of whip-smart host Gene Rayburn? We suspect it's a mix of those ingredients and all the sundry charms of a show truly ahead of its time. This site provides a comprehensive look at all the celebs who filled the chairs, a video clip of one of Rayburn's most infamous slip-ups, and plenty of colorful wallpaper to decorate your desktop in a "Match Game" theme. With all this and more, if you don't enjoy this engaging site, you must be a real "blank." (in Classic TV) |
