Polanoid Bent on nothing short of assembling "the biggest Polaroid-picture-collection on the planet," Polanoid has the ambition—and the goods—to make it happen. This gorgeous collection revels in the early days of instant photography when the cameras were weighty, the pictures slid out immediately, and a delete button was nowhere to be found. According to WebMeister, the site's Viennese curator, Polanoid is "hungry for real analog, good-smelling pictures." Well, serve us up a portion. The Tools section runs through an amazing array of cameras, including the classic 1000 model and the handsome, fold-up SX-70. A fervent "thanksgiving" dishes up the history behind the cult camera. And, finally, there's gallery after gallery of luscious pictures in that distinctive square shape. So, dig up your dad's old instant camera and register with Polanoid. They don't want your money—they just want your pictures. (in Photography) |
