Lovelines Contrary to what you might think, love is winning online. On May 21, for example, 4,396 bloggers posted the word "love" someplace on their sites, while a mere 1,870 muttered "hate." Lovelines scours online journals for outbursts of emotions, and presents them as a graphic record of the Web's achey, breaky heart. Slide between "love" and "hate"—passing "like," "want," and "dislike" along the way—and see what's flaring online: "I love his little face so much," "I like how just my ear is in focus," "I want to see a therapist," "I hate you too basketball," "I hate the pace everything is going at right now." The result is a kind of stylish cardiogram of anonymous sentiment. Here's our expression of emotion: Lovelines was co-created by web designer extraordinaire Jonathan Harris. Here at Picks, we have one big crush on this guy—and we're not shy about it. Check out our earlier review of his work for Seed Magazine. (in Blogs) |
