A Dress A Day Erin likes dresses. Lots of dresses, especially vintage. It's not that she's against pants —although she has found compelling evidence against them. It's just that dresses can be prettier, and the older styles have pockets, which the Handbag Industrial Complex has forbidden in recent times. Sure, Erin covers the Oscars and Fashion Week, as required by the rules of the fashion blogosphere. But mostly she dotes on snappy shirtwaists and power collars of the past, while sharing the secret lives of dresses. Because today's frocks rate merely an "E" for effort, Ms. Dressaday extols the sensual pleasures of sewing a dress yourself. But even if her favorites are from bygone eras, she can still appreciate an elegant modern gown. With a dress mostly every day, you may never look at those ratty old jeans again.
