Low Morale
Submitted  for your approval: a series of twelve animations chronicling "one man's struggle to cope with the soul-sapping, will-to-live draining, life-force mugging, morale crushing experiences of work." Laith Bahrani, aka Monkeehub, is a brilliant animator who also happens to be gifted/cursed with a keen eye for black humor. The punch line for every one of these cartoons is the same (self-induced death as a result of boredom), but that doesn't make them any less satisfying or hilarious. Our hero bravely asphyxiates, immolates, and generally extinguishes himself to escape the horrible banality of the workplace, and he always scores laughs in the process. The web site scored Bahrani a great Radiohead video, as well as some other fun projects, so life can't be all that bad, can it? Well, maybe it can. (in Job Humor) |
