Magnum In Motion The photojournalists of the Magnum photo agency have packed their bags and lugged their cameras to every far corner of the globe. With this collection of interactive, multimedia photo-essays, they offer rare insight into their travels and the images they capture. Blending video, music, graphics, and voice-overs, the photographic stories gathered here romp across the beaches of Coney Island, elbow through the New York City Marathon, and observe the funerals of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq. And that's just the beginning. As we moved through the slide shows, we found ourselves roaming the sidewalks of London after the July 2005 subway attacks and peering across the fields of postwar Vietnam. We particularly relished Satellites, which lured us to "the scattered enclaves...that straddle the southern borderlands of the former USSR." We may never set foot there, but with the Magnum crew, we've already made the journey. (in Photojournalism) |
