Mary and Jim to the End Ever wonder what that trippy Doors song "The End" is about? Suicide? Bad acid trip? The collapse of all matter? Nope. It's about the breakup of Jim Morrison and his high-school girlfriend, Mary Werbelow. Apparently Jim and Mary were a hot item as teenagers back in Florida. Now Mary, who previously rebuffed all Morrison biographers, has broken her silence for the St. Petersburg Times. You can read all about Jim and Mary's relationship, as well as the story behind Morrison's arrest for indecent exposure onstage. Also included: a photo gallery, Morrison's Florida State transcript, and clips from a university film that briefly features a very straight-looking Jim. Yeah, this is rock-and-roll trivia run amuck. But Oliver Stone will get a hold of this stuff any day now; Mary, who lives alone in a California mobile home, says "I can't find anybody to replace Jim...I've never had anything like that again, and I don't expect I ever will."
