Every Object Tells a Story
Perhaps screenshotyou're the kind of person whose closets are crammed with stuff you can't live without. You collect Star Wars action figures, admire J.D. Salinger's work, or relish a particular green coffeepot. On the other hand, perhaps you're the type who can't stand clutter. The flourish of one small painting will do just fine. Either way, this site wants you. Intent on amassing "an archive of stories about objects that people value," this project from the Victoria & Albert Museum is on the prowl. What kind of things does it want? Any kind! It can be something in a museum or something you carry in your pocket. It can be from your childhood or from a recent trip. Maybe your girlfriend gave it to you. Maybe you drove it to the dump. A pirate outfit? Sure! An 18th-century porcelain vase? Naturally. Or, how about something less tangible -- say, a mysterious cloud? Well, that's the best one yet. (in Collecting)
