Honey, Where You Been So Long? Since May of 2004, Honey Where You Been So Long? has celebrated the blues with a daily treat of one or two songs. The music runs the roster from jangly, upbeat country tunes and boogie-woogie piano to scratchy gospel recordings that sound like they date from the beginning of time -- or the inception of human heartbreak. On any given day, Ollie Shepard may sing "Brown Skin Woman," Ethel Waters could croon "Get Up Off Your Knees," or Jazz Gillium may belt out "Stavin' Chain." One day Billie and Ella will serenade you; the next day Blind Willie Dunn's Gin Bottle Four will play two tunes slow and sweet. You'll also encounter updates on blues radio shows across the country and new record releases. The site only keeps audio files up for a limited time, so honey, stay away no longer. (in Music Blogs) |
