Weather Wars Whenever we're at a loss for small talk with a complete stranger, the weather always bails us out. A day just wouldn't be complete without a fellow citizen asking "Hot enough for ya?" or brilliantly observing "Looks like rain." Cutting through the same ol' weather claptrap can be tedious, but then a site like Weather Wars saves us from the boredom of silly weather small talk. Restoring our faith in off-the-wall conspiracy theories and forcing us to size up the seemingly innocuous clouds forming overhead as ominous, this site posits the theory that Mother Nature is being manipulated by sinister forces. Former TV weatherman Scott Stevens provides pictures of cumulus clouds that show "the hand of man at work," airplane contrails monkeying with our climate, and holes in clouds that are proof something is amiss in the world of weather. While we don't exactly subscribe to all his theories (and we don't want to rain on his parade), we do appreciate a site offering a wild point of view from a voice that's unique to the Web.
