Hel Looks New York. London. Tokyo. Among (so many) other things, we celebrate these cities for their fabulous street fashion. Now there's another metropolis that's got the style chops to play with the big boys. Say hello to Helsinki. (Yes, you read that right.) Dip into this collection of photos culled from the streets and clubs of Finland's capital and you'll see that the denizens of this northern land wear their threads with style. From the '80s to the '40s, from plaid sweaters and sweatpants to "old lady's shirt .... and rain shoes," the looks on these streets are totally unique. And while you will see Japan's "sweet Lolita" look, full-on British punk, and some near-replica Brooklynites, other styles are pure Finnish (at least, we think so). (in Europe)
