Biro-Web In England, a "biro" is a ballpoint pen (think Xerox for photocopier or Jello for gelatin) and, for some years now, Englishman Jon Burgerman has been scrawling away with one. Biro-Web, his pen-created gallery of funny and laconic cartoons, lets us in on the results. Through his scribbled alter ego, Mr. Burgerman offers all manner of oblique thoughts and observations. His BBC-sponsored Doodle Diary records daily epiphanies like an unopened Starburst fruit chew and some thoughts on call waiting. For adult viewers only, he presents an extremely naughty collection of completely naked objects. And if you're inspired, there's a handy instruction manual on how to make your own computerless biro-web: "every so often take the ink bit out of the pen and turn the paper over on to its blank side -- this will simulate your web site crashing."
