VirtualSweden.se If there were a pope of panoramas, he might be Jonas Carlson. For the past several years, this inspired Swede has crafted an extraordinary collection of panoramic views from around the world. Begin your tour of Carlson's vistas with the Louvre Museum in Paris. Visit the crown jewels in the Apollo Gallery, devour Veronese's "The Wedding Feast," and stroll the Salle des Verres. Use your mouse to zoom in or out: Examine the paintings, wander the halls, even float to the ceiling and hover. Next, move on to Rome, where you can take in the Colosseum at night -- perhaps its most fetching hour. Select and explore sites from London, Egypt, or Thailand. But our favorites might be the images culled from Sweden itself: the convents of Vreta and Vadstena, the lighthouse at Ottenby, and the scenes of public mourning for the slain politician Anna Lindh in 2003.
