Another  important step in the effort to catalogue the formative media of Gen Xers, The Arcade Flyer Archive proudly presents over 4,500 glossy video game brochures. Those nostalgic for the great coin-operated diversions of yore will relish the prose in these rarely seen pamphlets. Start with the Top 50 List, which features such heavy hitters as Pac-Man ("a labyrinth of fun and amusement!"), Asteroids ("explosive rapid-fire space action"), and Space Invaders ("players match their skill and wits in defense of the planet Earth"). The nostalgia factor here is enough to make you cry: "Amidst the beautiful girl's constant pleas for help, your challenge is to maneuver little Mario up the steel structure, while helping him to avoid the rapid-fire succession of hazards that come his way."
