Podcast Alley The kids are taking back the airwaves. Podcasting -- the creation of your very own downloadable radio show -- is all the rage these days. But podcasts (much like blogs), can be self-involved, incoherent, or just not that interesting. Enter the top 50 list on Podcast Alley. There are some familiar themes here (technology, Apple products, aliens), but you'll also find great left-field hits like "Coverville," an in-depth look at cover songs. The site indexes over 3,500 fully subscribable podcasts -- search by a genre like movies or comedy, or see them ranked by popularity. If you're itching to get into the game yourself, you'll find a variety of tutorial and helpful applications on the software page. Some Podcast Alley fans sport T-shirts proclaiming "Can't Sleep. Must podcast." So get podding. (in Podcasts and Audioblogging) |
