Pep Bonet Spanish photojournalist Pep Bonet has traveled to ravaged regions around the globe and captured harrowing, beautiful images suffused with light. Although his poignant pictures speak for themselves, many of the photos on the site include a scroll-over "story" at the bottom of the page for those looking for a little more context. Don't miss the images from the Kissy Mental Home in Sierra Leone, the color sequence from Darfur, or this haunting photo from the series on HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa. Though many of Bonet's subjects are young, they've clearly been forced to grow up fast. Bonet, born in 1974, isn't quite an old-timer himself, yet his images bespeak an old soul. Together, he and his subjects create something universal and timeless. (in Photographers) |
