Things Other People Accomplished When They Were Your Age Dead-end job? Looking back fondly at that 6th grade diorama project? Writing about Web sites? Well, now may or may not be the time to take a gander at this. The title is self-explanatory, the execution simple. Just enter your age, click, and voila, you're staring at world-beating accomplishments achieved by others when they were just as old. But don't despair. Though we found that country-rock singer Tanya Tucker recorded the hit song "Delta Dawn" at 12, composer Felix Mendelssohn wrote twelve symphonies by 17,and physicist Niels Bohr published his theory of the atom at 28, we also discovered some dubious distinctions, like junk bond promoter Michael Milken was indicted for securities fraud at 42 and Jimmy Swaggart got caught with a prostitute at 52. See? You're doing great. |
