Collage Machine 1.0 From Robert Rauschenberg to Joseph Cornell to the kid in second grade who liked to cut pictures out of magazines, affix them to paper, and eat the paste, collage has been a staple of postmodern art. Now, in the spirit of post-modern modernity, Collage Machine allows you to exercise your unconscious mind without getting sticky. The site is done entirely in Flash software, and it's as easy as sliding the head of former country and western star Glen Campbell onto the top of the Eiffel Tower (our choice), all without any help from Salvador Dali. Picture categories include food, animals, and people. Once you're done choosing from these, you can move, rotate, or draw on the images. Finally, a Web tool that provides hours of fun without getting you in hot water with the Recording Industry Association of America or your spouse. (in Visual Arts) |
