A Month of Softies What are Softies? Anything cute, fuzzy, and stuffed. They can be knitted or sewn and are usually found nestled amidst bed pillows. And according to A Month of Softies, they're lots of fun to make. Each month this online art project invites folks to craft a Softie on a clever theme, and photos of the unbearably cute results are posted on the site. December's theme was Holiday Hang-Ups and attracted small packages and pink angels. In November crafters were asked to send in their interpretations of The Accessorised Elephant, a challenge that attracted a carrot-colored pachyderm. We can't wait for the needle-and-thread fashionistas to take on the next challenge -- Vintage Catwalk. (in Arts & Humanities)
