Direct Relief International
While  many of us celebrated the holidays, on the other side of the globe, thousands of others lost their homes, their loved ones, or their lives in the Southeast Asia disasters. Direct Relief International, a U.S.-based charity, offers hope as well as a way to help. A nonprofit, nonpolitical, and nonsectarian organization, it provides medical resources to areas stricken by poverty, war, and disaster. For over 40 years, Direct Relief International has worked with local organizations to distribute the medical supplies and equipment so desperately needed to improve health and save lives.
