the cyber-kitchen As the old saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth. In this aesthetic homage to "24-hours in a Western woman's kitchen," getting your fingers into too many pots is the whole idea. Kitchens are the heart of many homes -- filled with comfort, confusion, chaos, and culinary hits and misses. The curators of this installation believe that behind everyday objects found in kitchens (appliances, utensils, and labor-saving devices) is a secret rhythm, a cycle of consumption, elimination, creation, and cleansing. And behind every table, teapot, and toaster in this virtual kitchen lies artwork submitted by a collaborating artist. Some links are random, others humorous and insightful. See what's hiding under the kitchen sink. (in Web Art) |
