BLM's Historical Photographs
Ahh,  the open road! With the continuous clutter of billboards, housing, and business developments along our highways, many of us long for a simpler time. We hearken back to the days of Lucy and Desi as they scoured countryside in their long, long trailer, breathing in fresh air, and admiring the wide open spaces. The Bureau of Land Management remembers and has visually documented the westward migration of yesteryear. Dating back more than a century, the collection displays the nation's public lands and roadways in their more natural state. So go ahead, set it on cruise control, and take it all in. (in Outdoors) |
