Oh.  My. Gawd! This blog is like, sooo L.A. -- we love it! That's cause, it's not all just, you know, totally Valley and Westside news and all. It's so not vapid. It features great regional interest stories that people who've never been to SoCal are dying to hear about. Angelenos worth their Uggs know that The Coffee Bean blows Starbucks away, the under-used Metro rail doesn't improve traffic, and that Jay Leno's motorbike fixation doesn't help with smog either. Duh! But the site goes beyond the celeb gazing and trendspotting into the nitty-gritty of the sprawling city's multitude of cultural interests, like the very sexy Rexy, a modernist hootenanny, JPL's ongoing "pet projects," and even charming, albeit pointless trolley rides. Hey, L.A.'s an eclectic sorta town. Despite what the naysayers say... it's majorly cool. (in California) |
