50 Coolest Song Parts Movie buffs have favorite scenes, bookworms have treasured passages, and, yep, pop-music fans have favorite riffs, solos, and screams. This site from the list-happy folks at RetroCrush counts down the 50 coolest song parts, because, as they say, "sometimes there are pieces of songs that are cooler than the song itself." So do these guys know what they're talking about? We were dubious when we saw Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" in the top spot, but they also made choices that even the snobbiest aficionado couldn't question. The organ intro in "Let's Go Crazy"? Absolutely! The machine-gun guitars in Metallica's "One"? Oh my, yes! But Vince Neil's declaration that "he's on his way" in "Home Sweet Home"? Eh, not so much. (in Music Reviews) |
