Anatomy of a Refugee Camp If you're reading this, chances are a refugee camp is something of an alien concept. After all, the worry and fear that come when you are forced to abandon your home are emotions most of us will never experience. And while stability is something to be grateful for, the truth is that around the world, many less-fortunate people are living in refugee camps. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has developed a site that allows its visitors to explore a typical camp and examine its many parts. Appropriately called Anatomy of a Refugee Camp, this educational site covers everything from health posts to shelters to schools and features a look and interface reminiscent of "The Sims." Take a look around and explore -- you're sure to learn a thing or two. (in Issues and Causes) |
