70s Live Action Kid Vid The '70s were a much simpler time, and the television programs produced during that pre-cable era resulted in many of the wackiest ideas to ever hit the small screen. On Saturday mornings, kids were treated to a veritable buffet of live action weirdness, most of it emanating from the cheese-addled brains of Sid & Marty Krofft. This site looks back on the shows that cluttered the minds of impressionable pajama-wearers, including the fondly remembered Land of the Lost and H.R. Pufnstuf. However, the real treasures are the shows buried in the deep recesses of the pre-adolescent mind, such as the very odd Wonderbug and the eternally creepy Dr. Shrinker. Each show's description contains plenty of pertinent information -- air dates, number of episodes, and awesome pictures -- that bring the past to full-color life. Have fun on this fantastic journey into the not-so-distant past! (in Classic TV) |
