Shadow and Light
Presentation  is everything. After all, any painting looks better when surrounded by a beautiful frame. Proving that principle applies to the world of online art as well is this site, a photographic essay by architecture student, Nikolai Cornell. Featuring beautiful black and white photos from Cornell's three months of study and travel through Europe, the site boasts a navigation system so simple and fluid it could make an iPod blush. Visitors can click their way through the interactive portfolio by country or city and gaze at some truly stunning images -- everything from an oft-visited temple in Barcelona to a forgotten group of gondolas in Venice.
