Wear It With Pride When you were a 14-year-old confused teenager, you probably adorned your prized denim jacket with badges representing your favorite band or cultural icon. Thankfully, these days badges aren't just for pimple-faced kids. Last year, British graphic designers Darren Firth and Tim McKnight wondered what happened to the badge and decided to save their beloved buttons from fashion obscurity. This compulsively clickable retail gallery of pin badges combines retro favorites (let's hear it for Fonzie, Rush, and Judas Priest) with tons of hip new designs. And the owners make a charitable contribution with every purchase of a badge from their site. As the brief history of the badge points out, they've come along way since the Sex Pistols and Mork and Mindy. Badges aren't just about bands or causes anymore. Now they're about skull girls, space kittens, and Mr. T. Quit your jibber-jabber and pin one on. |
