The  touchy subject of music tends to divide the world into two groups: folks who are "in the know" and those who remain "out of the loop." This site provides a place for neophytes to become looped in and for scenesters to check out an album that may have slipped by their radar. Filled to the brim with fun and fussy reviews of albums and concerts, the site covers a diverse roster of musicians including The Darkness, RJD2, and My Morning Jacket. But the coolest section, by far, is the Automatic Mix Tape Generator. Enter a subject and a highly underpaid, music-junkie staff member will match a mixtape of songs to that subject. Some examples worth checking out include a tape made for grocery shopping, one for quitting a crappy job, and a mix featuring jazz with a punch.
