The Fog of War Using the Internet to promote a movie isn't new or novel, but using it to flesh out the themes of a film is a road less traveled by Hollywood. This site, a fascinating online vehicle for The Fog of War, uses the Internet for more than just advertising purposes. Flash animation creates an interesting dial presentation of Robert McNamara's life and times. You can click the "related text" links below each year for an in-depth look at the life of a controversial man who was "witness to and participant in many of the crucial events of the 20th century." After learning about McNamara, learn about filmmaker Errol Morris and his Interrotron, read reviews, and watch video clips from the film. While the movie probably won't make a fraction of the money made by the stale, recycled ideas that populate the box office, the site trounces many of its bigger-budget foes on the Web.
