100 Scariest Movie Scenes of All Time A month after we featured Retrocrush's World's Greatest Halloween Costumes, "they're here" with yet another frightening list to make your skin crawl. Each of these scary cinematic outtakes is accompanied by a synopsis of the on-screen action and often an interesting movie fact. For example, in The Shining, Wendy stumbles on a box full of Jack's writing and finds every single page is covered with the phrase, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Stanley Kubrick, the director, would not allow Xerox copies to be used -- he had each page typed manually. Many of the scenes are emblazoned on our collective psyche -- Who can forget Linda Blair's spinning head in The Exorcist? Others, such as the pink elephant hallucination scene from Dumbo, might not be so familiar. Clicking around is a surefire way to the heebie-jeebies, especially if you don't remember what's in Room 237. (in Movies & Film) |
