World Series 100th Anniversary October means the World Series, and while this year's match-up isn't exactly the magical Fall Classic many hoped for (sorry Cubs and Red Sox fans), it marks the 100th anniversary of baseball's championship event and a perfect time to reflect on the history of the series. Thankfully, the good folks at ESPN have put together a compelling package ranking a century's worth of World Series action. Browse through the rankings and relive some of baseball's most exciting and compelling moments with pictures and brief reviews of each year's Fall Classic. As with anything sports-related, questions will arise: Does last year's series deserve a spot in the top 10? Where do the Black Sox end up? And how many of these darn things have the Yankees been in anyway? With the 2003 baseball season coming to a close, you're sure to enjoy this interesting look back at October's finest moments.
