Weird Gardens If you're expecting sedate and flourishing greenery, please don't trample through this garden. However, if you're interested in the concept of using detritus and found objects to make a garden grow, come and knock on this unique door. Artist Timmerman Daughtery has transformed her Baltimore rowhouse into a living gallery of found items repurposed for her pleasure. Enter through the front garden and behold the wonders of green bottles embedded in cement and a rusted typewriter sitting alongside two proud lions. Scamper past the sculpture on the front porch, then venture through the jam-packed living room to gaze at the Red-iness of the kitchen. On your way out of this well-assembled abode, stop by the deck and garden, turn left at the bottle tree, and savor the view. (in Recreation & Sports) |
