Project 312: I Have a Dream Foundation What do you want to be when you grow up? Youngsters have fanciful answers to the question, yet some may never have the financial means to accomplish their goals. A group of 30 Washington D.C.-area sixth graders have been given the opportunity to live their academic dreams to the fullest, thanks to the I Have A Dream Foundation. In an effort to help them discover who they are and who they can become, these disadvantaged kids will be nurtured throughout junior high and high school, taking part in cultural enrichment programs and receiving computer proficiency training and career development help. To that end, a creative photo essay offers a positive vision of how equal educational opportunities can change young lives. This long-term project is not about anonymous faces, but real kids who yearn to learn. We wager these 30 dreamers will give us something to talk about in the future.
