International Catalogue of Superheroes Sure, Spider-Man and the Hulk have been hogging the limelight lately, but where would the world be without the likes of Kamen Rider, Puma Man, or Fauladi Singh to save the day? Every culture needs an icon, and this international gallery of good guys, bad gals, and odd creatures reflects each country's idea of what makes a superhero. Take Japan, home of kitsch and cool. You'll find heroes like Gigantor the robot, King Ghidorah the flying dinosaur, and Sailor Moon the anime babe. Italians take comfort in the macho stud Zagor, while the French find the suave Gregoire de Fronsac oddly appealing. Filipinos follow militia man Hokus Pokus, while Mexicans try to steer clear of the wrathful La Bruja Blanca. This ongoing project includes many notable names, as well as lesser-known but no less popular heroes from all walks of life. Was your local superhero overlooked? You know what to do.
