The Charmings
Once  upon a time there was an irreverent yet magical sitcom that hoped to capture the imaginations of TV viewers, a show straight out of the '80s called The Charmings. Its fairy tale plot revolved around a family who woke up after 1,000 years of sleep to find themselves living in Burbank, California, circa 1987. Unfortunately, this show with a concept of gold was scheduled opposite NBC's powerhouse Cosby Show and was canceled after two seasons -- even the fairest of them all couldn't compete with the Cos' sartorially splendid sweaters. This site introduces the enchanted cast with an impressive collection of photos -- the TV Guide ads in particular illustrate what a treasure this show really was. But the piece de resistance is the Episode Guide, a list of short synopses complete with star ratings. When will the nation wake up to the spirit and sass of America's forgotten family?
