Bar Mitzvah Disco
The  creators of this site believe bar mitzvah celebrations, and the photographs taken at these "potent cocktails of ritual, acne, insecurity, and hormones," tell the story of a bygone era of innocence and big checks from relatives. So they're in the process of gathering bar mitzvah photos for a yet-to-be-published book and are calling on those who have been bar mitvahed to help. The site currently boasts around 100 pictures of the boy-to-man ritual celebration -- see the fabulous performers who rocked the house, meet Aunt Hannah and crazy Uncle Mike, and suffer through the uncomfortable and interminably long slow dance. If you have pictures of bar mitzvah celebrations from the 1970's, '80s and early '90s, help these fledgling authors meet their mission -- dust off those memories and send in those photos.
