In honor of the centennial of powered flight, Dayton has set the stage for a blow-out gala of fun-filled aviation attractions for the entire family, complete with pyrotechnics, air shows, concerts, astronaut appearances, and educational pavilions galore. From June 3 - 20, the home of the Wright Brothers is pulling out all the stops, making sure visitors and locals alike get a full taste of the duo's genius and legacy. Walk along the aviation trail where the seeds of flight were sown, scope the engineering behind today's fastest jets, and enjoy activities tailored to the imaginations of young aviators. Sen. John Glenn, Secretary General for the festivities, assures the mammoth event will not disappoint. So what are you waiting for? The countdown to Kitty Hawk has begun.
