The Black Table This wonderfully eclectic site offers an unapologetically diverse collection of writings -- a self-proclaimed "mosaic with all kinds of bits and pieces glued together." The topics range from beer reviews to lucid explanations of Passover and Lent to helpful advice on buying an engagement ring. The vision of the magazine is a bit hazy, but that's the way the editors like it. Great reads abound -- one article makes the convincing case that Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott are "the Coreys for a new generation." The Black Table is currently bursting with more than 90 stories, but the real beauty here is the complete lack of an editorial mission. By keeping it vague and updating it daily, the creativity flows freely. (in Magazines) |
