Rubbish Monkey What could be more entertaining than a drawing of a monkey? Sketches of these universally loved and loveable creatures are Joëlle¿s passion. She's so committed to sharing her view of the funny, furry animals that she created this web site for the little guys she's dubbed "rubbish monkeys." It all started in November 2001 when she asked friends to sketch monkeys in her little spiral bound notebook. Quickly, the collection grew to include drawings by family members and even strangers, each of whom drafted their own strange creation. From seemingly drug-addled flunky monkeys to monkeys who look perfectly pleased with themselves, each simian seen here features a unique quality that sets it apart. If you have a monkey inside you struggling to get out, Joëlle suggests grabbing a pencil, drawing your own, and sending in the drawing so it can proudly live the rest of its days with the other rubbish monkeys of the world. Long live the rubbish monkey! (in Animal Humor) |
