one word This site's concept is amazingly simple -- it presents you with one word each day and asks you to write about it for 60 seconds. "That's it?" you ask. Well, it might not seem like much, but words like "tarnish," "reach," and "sin" often compel the writer to pen strange and obscure prose. After you've finished writing, make sure to see what others have shared -- it's an interesting lesson in writing and perception. For instance, the word "room" means something different to each of the 165 people who wrote about it. When you sit down and decide to take on the task, heed the advice on the site: "don't think. just write." (in Literature) |
