Running Movies If pressed, most people can name a couple of movies that feature running -- Chariots of Fire, Forrest Gump, and Run Lola Run probably come to mind. But you might be surprised to learn that more than 400 movies and videos that feature running have been made -- and they're cataloged here in aching detail. The features films section presents a long list, complete with thorough write-ups. Remember Across The Tracks, a 1989 movie starring Rick Schroder and Brad Pitt as brothers nursing a heated rivalry? Okay, we don't either, but it certainly sounds better than 2002's Higher Ed, a film about an inner-city kid (Ed) who goes to college on a track scholarship, but finds he has to make a difficult decision: Will he get high with marijuana or get higher with education? Those are just a couple of the movies the site discusses that give new meaning to the phrase "running time." |
