Photojournalistas.com Like many online photography zines, this site features crisp, attractive photography, but unlike most, it goes beyond the superficial. The creators and contributors aim their lenses at areas ignored by other publications. Get an up-close look at a way of life slowly disappearing before our eyes -- that of the family-run dairy farm in New England. Or view a thriving world you may have never heard of, such as the semi-pro football leagues of America. Elsewhere on the site, a photojournalist turns his camera towards broken-down cars, while another serves up images from a huge rowing event called the Head of the Charles Regatta. Each story includes the author/photographer's profile, as well as an article or interview explaining how and why each photojournalist focused on the subject. The site bursts with interesting subject matter, so take your time and savor the experience. (in Photojournalism) |
