Seat Guru The Internet simplifies hundreds of everyday tasks -- you can pay bills, find directions, and shop for wedding presents with a few clicks of the mouse. But the Internet can also assist you in ways you might not have considered, such as finding the perfect seat on an airplane. Better than free cocktails on a trans-Atlantic flight, this site allows you to choose your aircraft from a list of several carriers, and then get the low-down on every seat on the plane. Flying an American Boeing 757-200? You'd be well advised to avoid seats 15A and 15F, but if you find yourself in row 17, count your lucky honey-roasted peanuts. The site currently features the fleets of American, Continental, Delta, US Airways, and United, and promises to add other airlines in the near future. The skies just became a little friendlier.
